The AVH-220EX is an entry-level in-dash multimedia a/v receiver designed to improve in-vehicle entertainment and connectivity with your smartphone. Enjoy features such as built-in Bluetooth® AVRCP 1.6 for hands-free calling and audio streaming. Audio/video playback from USB and DVD sources and safety features such as back up camera ready and much more.
Android Music Support
Users of devices running Android OS version 4.0 or later can connect to the AVH-220EX and listen to music stored on the device without the need for an app. The process is made possible using the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), which allows the receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storage device. Operate basic functions like FF, REW, Play, Pause, Random Play, and Repeat and view Metadata information such as track, artist, and album name.
USB Direct Control for iPhone
Pioneer's AVH-220EX is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod or iPhone for music. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the 6.2" touchscreen.
A USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1 amp of current to keep your iPod/iPhone charged.
Hands-Free Calling and Audio Streaming
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-220EX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is near the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units.
From wireless audio streaming (A2DP), hands-free calling, and simple pairing, to audio control and artist, album, and song search (AVRCP 1.6 profile*), Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient.
The AVH-220EX features Bluetooth Hands-Free Profile 1.6 including Wideband Speech capability, which improves the sound quality of phone calls by offering double the frequency bandwidth (when compared to calls without Wideband Speech)**.

Customize Your Colors
Select from among five colours (blue/red/amber/green/violet) for the display and 112 different colours to match unit illumination to your vehicle's interior lighting. Also choose from several background images to suit your mood.
Back-up Camera Ready*
Back-up camera input enables you to add a reverse (rear-facing) camera that can assist with rear visibility, towing, or parking.
*Rear visibility systems (backup cameras) are required under federal regulations in certain new vehicles according to a phase-in schedule that began on May 1, 2016. Owners of vehicles equipped with compliant rear visibility systems should not install or use this product in a way that alters or disables that system’s compliance with applicable regulations. If you are unsure whether your vehicle has a rear visibility system subject to these regulations, please contact the vehicle manufacturer or dealer.

Range - The remote range is based on line-of-sight unobstructed testing under ideal conditions. The actual range will vary due to local conditions including, but not limited to, environment, terrain, physical obstructions, vehicle location and orientation, interference and other possible impediments.

Shipping Cost - With shipping costs increasing every year by 3-4% and us wanting to keep our product prices accurate and not inflated by "Free Shipping," we offer you the best live shipping rates at checkout. If the live shipping rate changes significantly between the time you placed your order and when we printed the shipping label, we will refund you the difference. If we can find a comparable service (same transit time) available at a lower rate, we may use a different Currier and refund you the difference.
Returns - You have 30 days to return an order. Returns & Exchanges
Warranty - All products sold by Shark Electronics Ltd. are covered under our Standard Warranty for one year from the date of purchase. Shark Electronics Ltd. warrants the product to be free from defects in workmanship and materials for the warranty period. If the product fails during regular and proper use within the warranty period, Shark Electronics Ltd. will replace the defective parts of the product, or the product itself, with new or reconditioned components or products that are functionally equivalent or superior to those originally supplied. Our Standard Warranty does not cover misuse, improper installation, or abuse of the product. Products that have been damaged, modified, or tampered with are not eligible for warranty coverage unless our Technical Support Team specified the modification. All warranty claims are handled on a case-by-case basis.
